Google’nin kelime anlamı

Google, “googol” sözcüğünün üzerinde oynanmasıyla ortaya çıkmıştır. Edward Kasner adındaki Amerikalı matematikçinin yeğeni Milton Sorotta tarafından üretilmiş olan “googol” sözcüğü 1 ve onun ardından 100 sıfırın gelmesiyle oluşan rakamı belirten matematiksel bir terimdir. Google’ın bu terimi kullanması, şirketin dünyadaki tüm bilgiyi organize etme misyonunu yansıtır.

Google dünyanın en büyük arama motorlarından birinin ve geliştiricisi olan şirketin adıdır.

Stanford’da doktora yapan iki öğrenci, Larry Page ve Sergey Brin, Google’ı 1998′de 25 milyon dolar yasal sermayeyle kurdu. Şirketin GooglePlex denen merkez ofisi Kaliforniya’da bulunur ve tüm dünyada 5,000 civarında kişi çalıştırır. Şirketin sermaye ortakları, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers ve Sequoia Capital’ı kapsıyor. Şirket ayrıca, içerik sağlayıcı firmalara özel web arama çözümleri de sunuyor.

Google’nin Teknolojisi

Google’ın arama teknolojisi ve kullanıcı arabirim tasarımı Google’ı günümüzün ilk-nesil arama motorlarından farklı kılar. Sadece anahtar kelime veya meta arama teknolojisi kullanmak yerine, Google en önemli sonuçları ilk getiren, gelişmiş PageRank™ teknolojisine dayanır.

PageRank ağ sayfalarının önemini nesnel bir ölçeğe uyarlar; bu 500 milyon değişken ve 2 milyar terimden oluşan bir denklemin çözülmesiyle hesaplanır. PageRank ağın çok sayıda bağlantılı yapısını düzenleyici bir araç olarak kullanır. Doğal olarak, Google, Sayfa A’dan Sayfa B’ye kurulmuş her bağlantıyı, Sayfa A’dan Sayfa B’ye bir “oy” olarak yorumlar. Google bir sayfanın önemini aldığı oylarla belirler. Google ayrıca oyu veren sayfayı da inceler.

Google’ın komplike ve otomatikleştirilmiş arama metodları, insan müdahalesine engel olur. Diğer arama motorlarından farklı olarak; Google, hiç kimsenin daha yüksek listeleme yapamayacağı ve ticari amaçla sonuçları değiştiremeyeceği bir şekilde yapılandırılmıştır.

Literal meaning of Google:
Google came up as a result of changing word “googol”. Word “googol”, which is created by Milton Sorotta, who is nephew of an American mathematician Edward Kasner, is a mathematical term that specifies the number that occurs 1 and coming 100 zero after that. Google’s using this term shows this firm mission of organising all data in the world.

Two student that attending a PHD program, Larry Page and Sergey Brin founded Google with 25 million dollar legal capital in 1998. Firm’s centre named GooglePlex is in California and it has approximately 5,000 workers all over the world. Firm’s capital associates cover Kleiner Perkins Caulifield & Byers and Sequoia Capital. Also the firm provides special web searching solutions for content provider firms.

Google Technology

Google’s searching technology and user interface design make it different from present day first-generation searching engine. Rather than using key word or meta searching technology, Google depends on developed PageRank technology that brings most important result at first.

PageRank adapts network page’s importance into objective scale; it is counted with the solution of an equation which consist of 500 million variable and 2 billion terms. PageRank uses network’s many connected structure as a regulator device. Naturally, Google rates network that structured from A to B as a vote from A to B. Google determines importance of a page with the vote that it takes. Also Google analyses the page that gave vote.
Google’s complicated and automated search methods prevent people interference. Differently, Google was restructured as nobody can make a higher list and change results as commercial purposes.
